You Already Know Your Life’s Purpose: It’s In Your Story

One of the biggest questions we constantly ask ourselves is “why am I here?” We spend our entire lives searching for the answer to this question. We go to conferences, travel the world, read books, start businesses, sell businesses, take art classes, you name it.

We attempt to fill that yearning, that searching, that desire … with something else.

It seems that no matter how much personal development and soul searching we do, that questions still lingers without a crystal-clear-aha! kind of an answer.

Yet, the simple truth is that you already know what your life’s purpose is. The problem is that we live in a world that breaks us from connecting to this part of ourselves that already knows.

It’s not that you don’t know what your life’s purpose is, it’s far more likely that you’re afraid of it. Afraid of how absolutely-freaking-amazing you really actually and truly are.

So, why do we feel disconnected from our life’s purpose?

Because since the moment we arrived here, that big-bright-light society started breaking us of our innate natural superpowers.

We are nurtured to conform, comply, fit-in and not rock the boat.

We’re told to be lawyers and doctors, even when our spirit really wants to be a writer. We’re conditioned to believe that the bigger house and the newer car is what will make us happy. And on and on it goes.

And so we start to forget … what we were born already knowing.

“It” meaning … intuition, heart, source, light, love, grace, God, Divine, soul, whatever word works for you.

Just sit.
Still.
Connect.
And remember.

And do it again, again and again like you’re an olympian training for the Gold.

Because the answers come when you are emptied. Open. Free of limiting thoughts, patterns and conditioning.

The clarity comes not from our rational, intellectual selves but from the part of you that just knows.

So, how do you find your life’s purpose?
The truth is, the answer is often hiding in the parts of you that you likely judge as messy, shameful, unpolished and even embarrassing.

The answer to your life’s purpose exists:

  • On the other side of your shame.
  • In that big secret you don’t want anyone to know about you.
  • In your biggest most soul crushing moment in life.
  • In the things you were obsessed with as a child.
  • In the thing you teach others to do, because you most need it yourself.
  • In the cause you’d die fighting for.
  • In the things you do so naturally that you don’t realize their value to others.
  • In the clues of what makes you 100% you.

And it doesn’t matter if you’re selling, socks, a beverage, coaching services or a technology business.

Your story matters.
You matter.
You’re here for a reason.
It makes perfect sense that we don’t think to look in these dark corners when we’re creating our business models and building our brands. Yet, your story is unique only to you and it’s absolutely 100% where your life’s purpose can be found.
