Branding Spotlight: How Debbie Brand’s Her Story and Founds Rosehill Heights Shared Housing for Senior Women

Branding Spotlight: How Debbie Branded Her Story and Founded Rosehill Heights Shared Housing for Senior Women.

I always tell my clients:

BRAND YOUR STORY, NOT YOUR STUFF.

Are you in the process of branding your business? Or rebranding your business? Where do you start?!! Here’s a hint: Start with your story and sell from the heart.

Here’s an example:

We launched the branding for Rosehill Heights Shared Housing for Senior Women a few months ago.

The story of Rosehill Heights began while Debbie Gilbert was volunteering for the CNIB and was matched with a woman named Joan. Joan was a vibrant and active senior woman who eventually had to move out of her local resort-style retirement home. She had run out of money and as she moved into a nursing home, her health deteriorated fast living in that environment.

Debbie recalls how Joan used to long for the intimacy of a family home and how she would’ve loved to live in a home with friends like in The Golden Girls!

This is how Debbie met her calling and founded a co-housing building for senior women in Ontario, Canada. Debbie wants for the future Joans of the world to feel supported.

Brands For the Heart helped Debbie brand her story. We encouraged Debbie to tell her story and find her why.  We helped her become clear on her mission, her vision, and values. This came first! Once we became crystal clear on these aspects, we wrote the copy for her About page. Then we were able to come up with a font, the colours and the design for her business’s website.

Now I challenge you to tag a business that has a beautifully branded story like Debbie’s.
